You and your partner deserve it. You invested more than half your lifetime working and saving; initially, to give (more than) properly for your children, and next, to guarantee that you live as conveniently as possible when it’s eventually just the both of you again. Other retired couples’ concept of living large is by venturing, or really involving their interests for which they didn’t have the cash and time to develop earlier to retirement living.
